It it is tax time here in Canada and the deadline for filing your taxes is April 30th! I spent a good part of the day today and yesterday compiling all my receipts and entering them into the program. My mom and dad have also enlisted my help with their taxes as well. Hmm, I guess if you know me, I am a procrastinator and for the most part, it doesn't do me any good to leave things to the last minute! Needless to say, I am still not done, but here I am posting to my blog! Umm, is something wrong here? Don't worry, I will get it done. I just needed a bit of a break from all those numbers! Stay tuned, as I have been making up some projects that I will share with you!

Farewell to some SU Colours
The other day, SU announced that they would be making some changes to our colour pallette! While understandably that some people will be disappointed or bit miffed, I think that the new colours to come will definitely make a positive addition to the existing colour pallette.
I've attached a list of the colours that SU will be retiring in July. http://204.228.150.61/color_revamp2010/CAENG/Fond_Farewell_Colors_CA_0310.pdf
These retiring colours will only be available while supplies last. So to avoid being disappointed, order early. All the retiring products include: Inks, Craft Inks, Cardstocks, Ribbons, Buttons, SU Markers, Crayons.

Extreme Cards
Never mind trying to come up with masculine cards, but try to figure out what a teenager would want most is another - so the best thing - give them cash!
Rather than punch the side, I tore the edge to make it more rustic. I used Chocolate Chip Craft Ink. Once stamped, rather than lifting the stamp completely off of the cs, I tilted it a bit to the left and swiped it to the left to give it an illusion of the skateboarder going fast or flying through the air. Although you may not be able to see it clearly, but I did sponge some Bashful Blue around the skater to act as clouds.
I then roughed up the edges and curled the corners and added the linen thread.
This is the other card I made using the Extreme Biker. This one will be for my son's best friend, whose birthday is next week.
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Extreme Elements, Extreme Biker, Extreme Skateboarder
Paper: Not Quite So Navy, Old Olive, WW, Summer Picnic DS (retired)
Ink: Not Quite So Navy, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Orange
Accessories: Linen Thread, Brads
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my take on the money holder card!
Have a wonderful Easter!

Matching Cards to Memo Pad Holder
than I expected, but at least I got it done in time to give to the teachers for Easter! LOL! When you have four teachers to give to, it makes life a bit tougher and a bit more expensive. So when giving the teachers gifts, I try to keep it to a minimum and I know that they always enjoy homemade gifts!
Card 1 - Although you cannot see it in this picture, I used Crystal Effect on the strawberry to give it a wet look. It does look much better in person. I also cut out the leaf and popped it up to give it a 3d effect.
Card 2 - I took one of my square Spellbinders and embossed the outside square. It is a bit difficult to see and I apologize for the fuzzy pic.
Card 4 - Using the polka dot cuttlebug, I embossed the top portion of the card and layered it onto the RR cs. I had these red 3/8" brads and thought that they would add a nice touch to the card.
Here is the Recipe:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Phrasers for a Friend (retired)
Paper: Old Olive cs, Summer Picnic DS (retired),
Ink: Black, Certain Celery
Accessories: Brads, Ribbons, Crystal Effect, SU Markers
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a wonderful evening!
