January Xmas Cards

Here is my January Christmas Cards. My one and only New Year's Resolution was to try and keep up with making my Christmas Cards - which was to make 10 a month, so when December rolls around, I am not panicking.

I used one of the flowers from the Fabulous Flowers set. I inked it with Sky Blue and stamped it randomly on my main cardstock. I then inked it up with Wild Wasabi, Sky Blue and Purely Pomegranite ~ stamped once with each colour and added a gold brad.

I then inked up Season's Greatings with Bayou Blue. I used my SU corner punch without the guard to make the scalloped edge.

Ink: Sky Blue, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Bayou Blue

Other: Gold Brads, Corner Punch (to make the scalloped edge)

Hmmm,

I guess this posting once a week is not working out as I thought I would. It has been busy getting back to work and back to the old grind. Well here is another Fabulous Flowers card. I cased this directly from last year's catty. I coloured the sentiment using two different markers, bashful blue and certainly celery, gave it a huff and stamped. Overall dimension is 4"x4".

Ingredients: Cardstocks: Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, WW, Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, bling, and popups. Stamps: Fabulous Flower, Canvas BG.

Here are a few more cards (single layers) just using different colour variations.

Fabulous Flowers - 4th Version

Another simple, yet elegant card using the Fabulous Flowers set. The main cs is purely pomegranite. I stamped large flower with purely pomegranite onto ww cs, and layered it with black cs. I then popped it up and adhered to the main card. Stamped the words in black.

Fabulous Flowers - 3rd Version

Ok, here is a version that does not require a lot of work. I used Groovy Gauva to stamp the little daisy flower onto the Groovy Gauva cs. Stamped the "Dare to be Fabulous" in Purely Pomegranite ink onto the ww cs and layered with Purely Pomegranite cs. I tied the Groovy Gauva double stitched ribbon and then adhered to my main cs. I then punched out the circle scallop in Purely Pomegranite, layered it with Groovy Gauva using the 1-3/8" circle punch, and the white cs using the 1-1/4" circle punch, stamped it with purely pomegranite flower. For the center of the flower, I used River Rock and then added a little bling to give it some shine.

Fabulous Flowers - 2nd Version

Here is my second attempt with this stamp set. I stamped the flower 6 times using the various colours . . . and I am not one to throw things out . . . so here is another take on the Fabulous Flowers set, just a different layout.

Fabulous Flowers

I have always wanted to purchase this stamp set ever since I saw it in the Fall & Winter Catty. Now that I have this stamp set, called Fabulous Flowers, I can't tell you how much I love this set!

I started buy stamping the larger flower in Hunter Green onto ww cs. I sponged the backgrounding using a variation of Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst, Summer Sun and Eggplant Envy.

I then stamped the large flower four more times onto white cs using Eggplant Envy, Lavender Lace, Orchid Opulence and Almost Amethyst.

I cut each individual layers out and layered them using pop. In all, there is five layers to this card. I added sparkle glue to each of the petals and layers. Round corner punched the first layer and layered onto Eggplant Envy. I added the brads for an extra added touch and then mounted it onto the Old Olive layer and then card. I added little rhinestones to the middle of the flower.
