This has got to be one of my newest favourite stamps. I have been holding off on purchasing it, but finally gave in when I've seen all the beautiful cards made with it.
Colour blocking is a great way to make monochromatic cards.
I decided to challenge myself by making a his and hers card using the same stamp set but changing the colours. You'll see in my other post the masculine card.
I started out by measuring the middle piece with the group of trees from Lovely as a Tree.
The middle piece actually meaures 2" x 4". I started with the skaters from Winter Post and stamped it in Riding Hood Red Ink. Stamped the skaters again on a post-it note, cut it out and masked the skaters. I then stamped the group of trees using the Pink Pirouette ink. This way, you don't stamp trees over top of your skaters.
Next you cut your pieces for the top and the bottom. The dimensions will depend on where you want to place your middle piece. Using the Pink Pirouette ink, I stamped the reindeer on the top corner right piece and the snowflake on the left corner piece.
I tied a piece of pink taffeta ribbon around the piece on the bottom right corner.
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Winter Post
Paper: Pink Pirouette cs, Riding Hood Red cs, Holiday Harmony DS (retired)
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Other: Pink Taffetta Ribbon
Have a wonderful Friday evening and thanks for stopping by!! ~Pat
