File Card

Here is my card that I made from Kelly Swan's "Sassy Sayings" card swap. Nancy had made an ATC rather than a card and Kelly challenged everyone in the swap to make a card out of Nancy's ATC. I am sorry, but I have absolutely no idea who makes this stamp and wished I had more images to play with. I believe it is TAC but could be wrong. If anyone knows who makes this stamp, please let me know.

I found it difficult as I wasn't quite sure what to do with the ATC, but I think it turned out quite cute!

I wish I had a few more images to make some cards with as I am pleased with the outcome of this challenge.

I call this my file card as it looks like a file folder without the tabs. It is an A2 size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"). I cut 1" off the front of the card and rounded the corners.

I added the striped DS paper that I found in my litte stash and think the colours go great with Nancy's choice of colours - I believe that was just pure dumb luck!

I matted Nancy's ATC onto Pixie Pink cs, tied a pink grosgrain ribbon around the DS paper and matted to the front of my card.

I then punched the photo corners, one with gable green and the other with pixie pink and added that to the corner with some green brads that I also found.

The "Happy Birthday" is from the Sassy Sayings set. I also stamped on the inside using the swirls in Versamark from the "Stars & Swirls" set (retired) as I thought it looked a little plain.

Lastly, using my slit punch, I punched a slit at the top to hold the card closed.

Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Sassy Suzy, Stars & Swirls
Paper: Gable Green, Pixie Pink
Ink: Black, Versamark
Other: Ribbon, Photo Corner Punch, Brads

Thanks for stopping by!!

Beautiful card. Great color combo and I love how you used the tab punch.

Pat. I love your card. I know who makes that stamp on Nancy's ATC- It is an Emerson stamp and you can buy them from Addicted to Rubber Stamps
Somehow I've only just found your blog. I'll be visiting again from Down Under soon
